We provide house sitting (in the clients home - not boarding) ranging from one evening through to substantially longer periods, predominantly to cover holidays.
These assignments include staying overnight and the care of any domestic pets (daily walking, feeding, cleaning etc). The sitter also takes on various responsibilities for the owner:
keeping the house clean and tidy; taking telephone messages;dealing with mail, milk & newspapers; dealing with callers; watering houseplants etc.Clients can expect complete honesty, reliability and that the sitter will take precautions to ensure that a client’s absence from home is not detected because of any careless actions or disclosures. The sitter would attempt to replicate the routine of the client and wouldn't leave the pet/s for any period longer than 3 hours. Unless absolutely necessary we wouldn't expect pets to be left alone after 8.00pm.
It would be the clients responsibility to provide pet food, however, the sitter would bring their own food. There are no extra charges for having multiple pets or for seasonality.
A recent new client was quoted £241.50 to have her 3 dogs boarded for 7 days. This didn't take in to account the costs for transporting the dogs to and from the kennels and the cost implications of ensuring the dogs were vaccinated against kennel cough.
Our flat fee of £210.00 for the same period not only gave the client a substantial saving (£31.50), the dogs were given 1-to-1 care in their own home environment (familiar sounds. smells and own bedding) and the clients property was completely secure during this absence. The more pets you have the more you save .
